What are the system requirements required to use Internet Banking?
In its continued effort to safeguard online transactions, UNFCU uses full 128-bit encryption, which represents a strong level by industry standards. You therefore have this level of encryption upon accessing our Internet Banking platform.
For the best experience, we recommend you use any of the following browsers/versions:
- Internet Explorer 6.x, 7.x, or 8.x
- Mozilla Firefox 3.6.x
- Safari 3.0
- Screen Reader – Jaws 10.x
While the following browsers and their respective versions can also be used, these might not be fully compatible with ALL of UNFCU’s Internet Banking features:
- Google Chrome
- All other versions of Internet Explorer (not listed above)
- All other versions of Mozilla Firefox (not listed above)
- All other versions of Safari (not listed above)
- Screen Readers – All FrontPage Versions
How do I report errors?
Please contact us immediately if you notice an error either on eStatements or anywhere within your Internet Banking service via the “Contact Us” page.
How safe is Internet Banking? What about identity theft?
- Every page of the UNFCU website that contains account information or any web page where we ask for information, such as an online application, is protected with SSL encryption. This prevents an unauthorized individual or party from simultaneously viewing the same pages that you are viewing. It also prevents unauthorized viewing of information that you input into forms. You can tell if a web page is secure by looking at the URL: it will usually start with https: (s for secure) instead of just http:. Also, Internet Explorer and Netscape will show an icon that looks like a locked padlock when the page has SSL encryption.
- You can help prevent unauthorized viewing of your account information by practicing the following:
- DO NOT SHARE YOUR MEMBER NUMBER WITH ANYONE!
- DO NOT SHARE YOUR Internet Banking password with ANYONE!
- Visit Internet Banking from a private location (avoid Internet Cafes, the public library, etc.).
- Always end your Internet Banking session by "Logging Off" and then closing the browser. This will lock your account.
- DO NOT send sensitive information via email. Even with encryption, email is not as secure as other forms of communication. Requests or changes to your accounts should be made in writing.
