Karl-Ludwig Wilhelm Soll
Relevant experience and qualifications
After 20 year working in international professional service firms I joined the UN System in 2012 serving in various financial leadership positions — UNHCR — Deputy Director Finance; UNJSPF — Chief Financial Officer; UNOPS — Chief Financial Officer. During these 30 years I have gained a solid experience in the Financial Service Industry, which includes the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund. These positions covered financial, risk management, administrative and general management aspects, particularly with respect to the Management of Financial Instruments.
Candidate statement
During my tenure in the UN system I experienced the unique financial service needs of UN System personnel and UN System retirees and gained a deep understanding how essential UNFCU’s unique business preposition is for our international mandate; for many of the people, who serve/served the world, UNFCU provides the only feasible banking service to receive and manage their UN salaries/benefits. I want to support UNFCU’s unique role for our system as a member of the Board of Directors and trust that my experience in the private sector, but particularly in the UN System will contribute to UNFCU’s mission.
