Relevant experience and qualifications

I have accumulated extensive experience of over 22 years in financial management, risk management, internal audit, treasury, budgeting and resource planning, and financial reporting functions. I possess the skills, experience and professional qualifications to make valuable contributions to the UNFCU's governance as a Board Member. I am a qualified Chartered Accountant in the England and Wales, and in Canada. I have an MBA (Finance) and an LLM. In addition two specialized qualifications in internal audit (CIA), risk management (CRMA), and in anti-fraud (CFE). I am currently the Director of Finance at WIPO responsible for Treasury, Financial Accounting, Payroll Accounting and Income.

Candidate statement

I have been a member of UNFCU since 2012 and have noted how the organization is a very important enabler for staff around the world who work for the UN System. I am determined to make a contribution to its governance so that it continues to serve the United Nations family. My extensive experience in Finance, Governance and Risk Management makes me an ideal candidate to contribute to the guardianship of the UNFCU’s assets. Serving on the Board of Directors also provides me an opportunity to apply my experience and skills to various subjects that the Board of Directors is responsible for. I am motivated to make my contribution to the greater good of the UN staff by serving on the Board.
