Relevant experience and qualifications

I volunteered for 9 years at UNFCU Board. My 5 years as head of the Office of Investment Management in our UN Joint Staff Pension Fund managing US$ 97 billion in investments, 18 years as Chief Financial Officer and Finance Director in 2 international organizations and 2 development banks, together with 9 years as auditor, regulator and supervisor of financial institutions allow me to contribute and add value to the strategic direction of our UNFCU. My background as CPA with 2 masters in economics and in business administration, a certification as Corporate Director and experience in Boards of financial institutions will help me to bring best practices to the Boardroom.

Candidate statement

My passion is to contribute to the peace of mind of all the UN family by offering them access to high quality and secure financial products and services. After serving in UNFCU for 9 years and worked in 3 of the largest and most impactful UN organizations, WFP, UN Secretariat and UN Joint Staff Pension Fund, I witness firsthand the needs of our colleagues in headquarters, regional offices, country offices and in the deep field, the needs of their family members and, of course, the needs of our retirees and their beneficiaries. I know how important it is for us to have a UNFCU that is reliable, responsive and that offer the services that we need, and I want to keep contributing to it.
