Theresa Panuccio
Relevant experience and qualifications
I have extensive experience with UNFCU and also another credit union (IFAD), having served 12 years on the UNFCU Board, and 5 years on the Loan review Committee and previously about 10 years with the IFAD CU. In those years I served in different capacities such as Secretary of the Board, Vice Chairperson and now Chairperson of the UNFCU Board. I also have experience working and collaborating in other governance bodies such as the UNJSPF. My long history in the UN (32 years in four organizations in 3 different duty stations) has also given me extensive experience in understanding the needs of our Members worldwide and the importance of the Board to improve UNFCU services for Members.
Candidate statement
In my 30+ career in the UN, I’ve worked mainly in Corporate services, providing services and problem solving for colleagues so that they could succeed in their jobs. I have brought those skills and experience to UNFCU and I love trying to help people. With my recent retirement I have more time to dedicate to the Board and to our colleagues. I know that UNFCU can be a crucial banking service for so many people all over the world and I remain committed to continue serving our Members for their financial peace of mind as well as ensuring that UNFCU continues to grow, prosper and be even more responsive to Members needs. I remain passionate about the credit union movement and helping others.
