Required documents for a Kenya mortgage
Provide the following documents to apply for a Kenya mortgage. Members may be asked to provide additional documentation on a case by case basis at UNFCU’s sole discretion. To submit your application documents, email them to kenyamortgage@unfcu.com or visit us at our Nairobi office.
For all purchase transactions
- Latest two months’ pay statements
- Copy of employment contract
- Person
- Latest pension statement (for retirees)
- Latest six months’ bank statements for any accounts held outside UNFCU
- Copy of title deed / lease for the property being purchased
- Copy of offer for sale document from the vendor
- Completed occupancy affidavit
- Copy of national ID or passport
- Copy of Kenya Revenue Authority PIN
- Credit Reference Bureau Report (you can also dial *433# from a Safaricom number to receive a report)
- Proof of down payment and available funds in a bank account
- Mortgage Application form
For all refinance transactions
- Latest two months’ pay statements
- Copy of employment contract
- Latest pension statement (for retirees)
- Latest six months’ bank statements for any accounts held outside UNFCU
- Copy of title deed for the property being refinanced
- Six months’ mortgage statements
- Completed occupancy affidavit
- Copy of national ID or passport
