Required documents for a Uganda mortgage
Provide the following documents to apply for a Uganda mortgage. Members may be asked to provide additional documentation on a case by case basis at UNFCU’s sole discretion.
To purchase a new home
- Proof of income
- UN employees: Employment contract and two most recent pay statements
- UN retirees: Pension statement or verification of direct deposit
- Co-borrowers: Verification of employment reflecting at least two years of employment, and two months of pay statements
- Bank statements for all accounts, including those held outside of UNFCU, over the last six months
- Copy of the title/deed for the property being purchased/refinanced with an unexpired lease term not less than the loan term
- Evidence of down payment made, or bank statement covering the amount
- Copy of the fully executed contract of sale, witnessed by an advocate
- Completed Affidavit of Occupancy
- Copy of national identification card or passport
- Tax identification number (TIN)
- Consent letters and lease rental receipts (if land is on leasehold)
- Completed and signed Uganda mortgage application
To refinance an existing home
- Proof of income
- UN employees: Employment contract and two most recent pay statements
- UN retirees: Pension statement or verification of direct deposit
- Co-borrowers: Verification of employment reflecting at least two years of employment, and two months of pay statements
- Bank statements for all accounts, including those held outside of UNFCU, over the last six months
- Copy of the title/deed for the property being purchased/refinanced with an unexpired lease term not less than the loan term
- Mortgage payoff letter
- Completed Affidavit of Occupancy
- Copy of national identification card or passport
- Tax identification number (TIN)
- Consent letters and lease rental receipts (if land is on leasehold)
- Completed and signed Uganda mortgage application
